Repeals

Meant to repeal earlier enactments connected to the Act, but that provision was itself repealed by the Repealing and Amending Act, 1960. It therefore has no current legal effect. Any repeals are instead governed by the 1960 Act.

Priya reads the bare Act and sees a clause listed to repeal older laws. She finds that the clause was itself repealed by the Repealing and Amending Act, 1960, so it no longer has any effect. She consults the 1960 Act to know which provisions were removed.
