Proof of facts by oral evidence

All facts can be proved by oral evidence, except the contents of documents or electronic records. When a fact is not recorded in a document or electronic record, witnesses may testify about it in court and that testimony is admissible to prove the fact.

Priya saw a scooter hit her parked bicycle outside her house. There is no written or electronic record of the incident. Priya can testify in court and her oral evidence may be used to prove that the scooter hit the bicycle.
