When parties reach a mutually satisfactory settlement at the court conciliation meeting, the court prepares a written report of that settlement. The report must be signed by the presiding officer and all participants. If no settlement is reached, the court records that fact and proceeds with the case from the stage when the earlier application was filed.
Example
Priya and her neighbour attend the court conciliation meeting and agree that the neighbour will pay a monthly amount to settle a billing dispute. The court prepares a short report of the agreement, and the presiding officer plus all participants sign it, recording the settlement.
