Certain transfers to be null and void
AI Assist
Summary
When an order or official notice under this Chapter targets a particular property, any transfer of that property made afterwards is ignored for the purposes of the Chapter's proceedings. If the property is later forfeited to the Central Government, those subsequent transfers are treated as null and void. Transfers after the order/notice do not protect the transferee from forfeiture.
Example
Priya owns a shop that becomes subject to a notice under this Chapter. She sells the shop after the notice is issued; for the Chapter's proceedings that sale is ignored. If the shop is later forfeited to the Central Government, the sale will be treated as void.
