Effect of such warrant
AI Assist
Summary
A warrant issued by a court can be executed within that court's local jurisdiction. If the property to be attached is outside that area, the warrant can still authorise attachment and sale when the District Magistrate of the place where the property is found endorses it.
Example
Priya gets a court warrant to seize a debtor's motorcycle parked in a neighbouring district. The court can execute the warrant in its own area, and when the District Magistrate where the motorcycle is located endorses the warrant, the motorcycle may be attached and sold.
