Judgment when to be translated

AI Assist

Summary

When a judgment in the court record is in a language different from the Court's language, either party may require a translation. On such request, a translation into the Court's language must be added to the record so the parties and court can read it.

Example

Meera's judgment was written in a language different from the Court's language. She requests a translation, and a version in the Court's language is added to the record so Meera and the other side can read it.

Bare Act

Enacted text

The original judgment shall be filed with the record of the proceedings and where the original is recorded in a language different from that of the Court, and if either party so requires, a translation thereof into the language of the Court shall be added to such record.
