I Failure to keep election accounts

When law or a legally binding rule requires someone to keep accounts of election expenses, failure to keep those accounts is punishable. The punishment is a fine which may extend to five hundred rupees. It applies whenever the duty to maintain election expense accounts is imposed and not complied with.

Whoever being required by any law for the time being in force or any rule having the force of law to keep accounts of expenses incurred at or in connection with an election fails to keep such accounts shall be punished with fine which may extend to five hundred rupees.
