Power of Central Government to make rules
AI Assist
Summary
Central Government can make rules about when drivers must give signals and the precise way licences or certificates must be produced to a police officer. These rules set practical details: the occasions for signalling and the manner of showing documents. Rules made under this power guide driver conduct and police checks and are binding.
Example
Rohan is changing lanes on a busy road; Central Government rules specify when drivers must signal, so he must give the signal at those moments. Later a police officer stops him and asks for his licence; the rules also prescribe how the licence should be produced, so Rohan presents it in the required manner.
