Form and contents of licenses to drive
AI Assist
Summary
Every learner's license and driving license must follow the form and contain the information the Central Government prescribes, with an exception for certain special licences. Each licence must state which class or classes of motor vehicle the holder is entitled to drive, for example motor cycle without gear, motor cycle with gear, light motor vehicle, transport vehicle, road-roller or invalid carriage.
Example
Ravi applies for a driving license and passes the test. His driving license must be in the prescribed form and will specifically state which vehicle classes he may drive, for example only motor cycle with gear and light motor vehicle if those are the classes granted.
