AI Assist
Summary
The registering authority may refuse to register or renew a non-transport motor vehicle if it believes the vehicle is stolen, mechanically defective, not complying with the Act or rules, or if the applicant omits or gives false previous-registration details. When registration or renewal is refused, the authority must give the applicant a copy of the order with the reasons for refusal.
Example
