Report of investigation by subordinate police officer

When a subordinate police officer completes any investigation under this Chapter, they must report the result to the officer in charge of the police station. The report ensures the station head gets the findings so further action can be decided.

Priya files an FIR about a stolen bicycle and a subordinate constable, Rohan, conducts the inquiry. After finishing his investigation, Rohan must send his report of findings to the officer in charge of the police station. The station officer will then decide the next steps based on that report.
