Sense of expression once explained

When the Code defines the meaning of a word or phrase in any part, that same meaning must be used wherever that expression appears in the Code. You cannot treat the expression differently in another chapter or section. The explained sense controls interpretation throughout the Code.

Priya reads the Code's definition of "public servant" in one chapter. Later another chapter mentions "public servant" in an offence, so the same definition Priya read decides who counts as a public servant for that offence.
